Lorient Beach

It is not often mentioned, and that is a good thing. Lorient beach is therefore able to retain its unspoiled and peaceful character. People go to this local beach to enjoy spending time communing with nature, rather than to see people and be seen.

The beach is favoured by fishermen who set off early in the morning and return in the late morning with crates full of fish and spiny lobster. It is also a beach for surfers and they have their own club here.

The beach is large; most people swim on the right-hand side of the beach and surfing takes place in the central area. The left-hand side of the beach is not used very much as it is difficult to get to.

People come here for a quiet walk whilst waiting for the fishermen to return, for family days out with the children or Sunday picnics.
